The first match night of the season for OS Y saw a new look team with a new look captain. Our team for the night was Baz, Simon, Jim, Tomek, Andy and yours truly (Dave) as captain and as extra cover in case of injuries we were ably supported by Bryony. Some players took our Social Secretary up on her offer to play down at Sandbanks.
The 2011 Roke tournament got of to a wet start, in fact we wondered if it would start at all, as decisions on whether to proceed were delayed until 11am and then 12. After a good few cuppas, bacon sarnis and games of table footy, the rain finally stopped and the tournament began. Fears of slippery ground and potential to injure ourselves quickly fell by the way side as Average Joes playing with only 5 people started chasing the balls all over the place..and that was just the warm up!
