OS X become SADVA DIV 2 Champions

On Monday night (19th April) OS X played their last 2 games of Div 2 in SADVA against Winchester Uni and Roke A.

OSVC Mixed B Match Report from Friday 16th April

OSVC Mixed B had their 3rd match night at St Mary’s on Friday. We faced Solent Mixed Spikers who we’d beaten the previous week and OSVC Mixed A (Average Joe’s) – the local derby!

Ordnance Survey Volleyball Club (OSVC) was created following another successful outdoor league (OSVCL) at Ordnance Survey Headquarters in the 2006 summer season.

After wowing our various opponents in the Southampton and district local league, with our sheer determination and complete lack of coherent game plan, the Coach and the Players at OSVC have steadily improved each season.

OSVC play in the local indoor SADVA league from October through to May and train at the Oasis Academy, Lord’s Hill on a Wednesday night 5:30pm till 7:30pm. During the summer we move outdoors and play on Southampton Common every Tuesday from 6:00pm until it is dark or the rain starts.

The 09/10 indoor season saw a fresh approach in various aspects of the club, with the Coach plotting to wreak untold destruction of the opposition, the OS players were quite rightly, starting to worry.

Was this a building block, or a brick wall … stay tuned, or better still, join in.

OSVC Winter Training Schedule from 1st September

After a summer on the Common, OSVC has moved indoors for the winter season from the 1st of September onwards.

OSVC is now training at Oasis Academy Lordshill (Formally Oaklands School) every  Wednesday.

All levels of ability are welcome to come along for a two hour session from 5.30pm to 7.25pm. Anyone wishing to join OSVC or attend a taster session will find their first session free!
